Shaam’s popularity in the Telugu Desam soared after his performance in the smash hit film Kick. The actor has carved a niche for himself in Andhra with his very first film and the result is that most of his Tamil films are being dubbed. The actor is now choosy about his projects as he is set on retaining the star status. He has signed up one Telugu venture despite offers pouring in. Speaking about the remake of Kick in Tamil, Shaam said that he has been offered the same role in the Tamil version too. On assurance from Editor Mohan that his performance in the Tamil version will also be talked about, the actor is keen on signing up the project. The film will be directed by Jayam Raja and his sibling actor Jayam Ravi will play the lead role.
