Jayamravi New Film Name Is "Thilalangadi"

Thilalangadi
Jayam Ravi’s career is booming after back to back hits, Santosh Subramaniyam andDhaam Dhoom which established him as a saleable action hero.
Now his action hero image is going to get a big boost with the release of Jahanathan’sPeranmai, a total action adventure where he plays a forest officer fighting the timber mafia who is hand in glove with terrorists.
The action scenes in the film have been superbly choreographed. Already a Hindi producer has asked for the dubbing rights!
Meanwhile Ravi’s brother Raja, the “remake king of Kollywood”, is all set to cash in on Ravi’s new found image. Remember Raja normally remakes from Telugu family subjects laced with sentiments and a bit of action.
This time Raja has gone for the remake of Ravi Teja’s action packed Telugu film Kick, which will become Thilalangadi in Tamil!
Ravi works best under Raja and his home production Jeyam Company run by dad Editor Mohan, who will be producing Thilalangadi. The film has Jayam Ravi paired opposite Tamannaah for the first time along with Shaam who will play a cop with negative shades and Vadivel will be in charge of the comedy department. Yuvan Shankar Raja will provide music.
Thilalangadi pooja and shooting will start on 20th August at AVM Studio in Chennai. A major portion of the film will be shot in Malaysia and Far East. It will be Ravi’s big 2010 summer release.

Peranmai To Be Dubbed In Hindi

Remaking or dubbing Tamil hit movies in Hindi and vice versa is very popular. Bollywood producers have frequently grabbed good scripts by eminent Tamil writers. But evincing interest to dub the Tamil film Peranmai even before its release is indeed some news.
Peranmai has Jeyam Ravi in the pivotal role of a forest officer. With much of the shooting in the dense forests of Karnataka, repeating that for the remake would have been a tall order, aver industry circles. Under these circumstances, Peranmai is being dubbed in Hindi and planned for a simultaneous release.
Of late, Tamil films have been generating a lot of interest in Bollywood after the waves created by Ghajini. Added to that is the impending release of Boney Kapoor's Wanted, a remake of the colossal hit Pokkiri.

Peranmai Shoot Complete Jayamravi

With shooting wrapped up for Jayam Ravi’s ‘Peranmai’ yesterday, post production work is all set to begin. The film features five heroines, all new comers, all of who play NCC students who reportedly help Jayam Ravi chase terrorists out of the country.
The film is an ambitious project by director Jananathan, who always tries something novel in his flicks. If ‘Iyarkai’ dealt with the lives of fisher folk, ‘Ee’ took on the huge issue of Biowar. And now, ‘Peranmai’, is said to have Jayam Ravi play a role no other Tamil actor has played before. While it is known that he is a tribal leader and a forest guard, the exact nature of his character has not been revealed. After a year of shooting, the film is all set for post production work now.
The director pins his hopes on Tanishka, who plays one of the heroines in the film. In fact, the director says all heroines will be in all songs with the actor. But he says Tanishka will be noticed for her stunts, which remind him of Angelina Jolie. “I affectionately called her that after seeing her performance in the movie,” he says, adding that he picked her from a crowd when he spotted her at an exhibition.

Santosh Subramaniam News

Santosh Subramaniam is a 2008 Tamil musical and romantic film which was directed and co-written by Raja Mohan while Kalaprathi S. Agoram produced the film. While Jayam Ravi and Genelia D'Souza played the lead roles, Prakash Raj and Geetha, prominent actors from the south Indian film industry, played the significant roles of one of the lead character's parents in the movie. The film is a remake of the successful Telugu language film, Bommarillu, which post-release sparked off a battle in Tamil film industry for the remake rights.[2][3] Apart from Tamil, efforts to remake this film in Hindi with Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, popular actors from the Bollywood, were unsuccessful, but Anees Bazmee has recently announced the remake, It's My Life, with Harman Baweja playing the role opposite D'Souza, who plays the character for the third time.[4][5]

The film primarily revolves around a father and son relationship with the father's dote on his son ironically leaving a bitter taste with the latter. The son's choices and his wants to achieve something in life are always subdued by his father's. The father has a justification in the form of his dream, that is to build a dream house. When it comes to his son's marriage, the son breaks his shackles of respect only to experience the newly found independence. The film concludes with the father's repentance on his foolishness and the happy marriage of the protagonists.

The film opened to the Indian audiences on April 11, 2008 coinciding with Tamil New Year.[1] On its way to winning accolades and rave reviews, the film became a trendsetter in Tamil cinema along with Yaaradi Nee Mohini, starting a trend for family orientated films.[6]

The film with a running time of less than 2 hours and 30 minutes has been given a clean U certificate by the censor board.

According to reports, Jeyam Ravi has a completely different look in his next movie "Peranmai". In this movie, he plays the role of a forest officer and hence almost 95% of the movie has been shot in the dense forest. To stay fit, Ravi seems to have erected a make shift gym in the forest itself. According to Ravi, this is the first film in which he has exerted himself both physically and intellectually. Jayamravi's Peranmai

Jeyam Ravi is a household name today because he has carved a niche with his performances. Currently the darling of the masses, his female fan base has been getting bigger since Santhosh Subramaniam.

His next venture is Peranmai, an action-adventure film directed by Jaganathan. This film reportedly has an English song, written by a British lyric writer, sung by Sophia Robert and Saint Jones, and tuned by Vidyasagar.

The film's plot revolves around a group of terrorists who try to sneak in to India; Jeyam Ravi plays an upright forest officer.

Jeyam Ravi likes to experiment by playing diametrically different characters and is on the path to versatility!
